Discover nature’s rolein water purification
An online educational programme has been developed by Naturalis and Waternet. The programme focuses on the vital role nature plays in purifying drinking water. Spread over six lessons and two bonus lessons, as well as an impressive 40-minute documentary, the programme takes young adults on a journey through the world of ecosystem services.
The programme asks: how can nature help us produce clean drinking water? Using concrete examples such as the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen nature reserve, participants learn how natural processes ensure clean water. They will discover that nature is not only beautiful, but also an indispensable partner in solving complex problems.
