Marten is passionate about the application of data and technology for nature conservation. He focuses on the data flow, data standardisation and how these can lead to user-friendly applications and quality decision making. His strength is making the complex understandable and practical. He enjoys facilitating effective collaboration between people of diverse disciplines. He co-founded the BEEP foundation which builds open source tools to help beekeepers in taking care of honey bee colonies. Marten studied bioprocess engineering at Wageningen University & Research and is interested in the balance between pollinators and their environment.
