Coral Reefs
and their inhabitants

In Trianon, one of the cinemas in Leiden (Breestraat 31), our coral scientists will give a lecture about their work. Our coral professor Bert Hoeksema - at work in the picture above - will talk about the animals you can find on the coral reef.  Elsa Girard and Mike Hynes from Canada will talk about the sophisticated new ways they research coral reefs. Their lecture will be in English and Bert will speak in Dutch

After these interesting talks you can stay in the cinema and watch a coral-related movie, of which the proceeds will be donated to The Ocean Foundation!

And for all enthusiasts out there, LSD will host a coral-pubquiz in its clubhouse in the evening. You can win cool prizes such as a gift basket from the Naturalis gift shop or an introduction lesson to diving!
