The scientific archive, including the botanical and zoological drawings, paintings, and photographic media such as glass plates and slides, are managed by me. My work mainly focuses on the preservation and accessibility of these collections, as well as answering inquiries from all over the world.
In my role as an archivist, I am a member of the Ornithological Heritage Working Group.

The archive not only holds knowledge about our own natural history collections, but is also full of stories about the history of Naturalis and about scientific research in general. Every day I am amazed by the wide range of topics studied by researchers in the past, and by the beautiful drawings, photographs, and manuscripts that these studies have produced.
