On December 10th, Nicole Donkel of the LUMC and Hansjorg Ahrens of Naturalis gave a spotlight presentation. It was about the Hospital Hero app that Naturalis and the LUMC created together to make children less anxious when they have to go to the hospital. All kinds of animals are used in the app with which you can compare yourself. During the presentation, visitors could learn about how animals can help people and how the app works.
What animal is this?
Visitors were allowed to talk about their favorite stuffed animal, learn about how a hippo stays protected from the sun, and feel how distraction can help when getting a shot.
