Friends make
a real contribution

With your annual Friends contribution, you support our scientific research into the world’s biodiversity, the preservation and digitization of our important collection and the development of innovative exhibitions and educational projects.

Naturalis could really use your support so we can do the following, among other things:

scientific research and citizen science projects so that we can understand and protect nature even better;
the digitization of our collection, making it accessible to researchers and nature lovers all over the world;
the development of educational programs for young and old, opening up the wonderfulworld of nature to all;
fellowships and research posts for talented young researchers from the Netherlands and the rest of the world;
maintaining important items in the collection, such as the Indonesian papillots, jars of plankton from the 19th century or Darwin’s finches;
the acquisition of special items for research and helping the museum, resulting in new ideas and a true sense of wonder;
the next scientific expedition, to excavate a dinosaur in America or discover a new bee species in Bhutan; creating special exhibitions on current issues – what would you like to see, for instance?
