The Museum of Humankind will be the world's first museum and online educational content dedicated to telling the story of humanity in the context of the history of life on this planet. Ngaren will tell this story by welcoming a new and large audience on an adventurous journey into our past, in search of the origin, kinship and identity of humanity, to understand who we really are and where we are going. We will bring this story to life through digital technology and science storytelling to create stunning, immersive experiences in the place where the story unfolds: Africa.
The Museumof Humankind
Led by noted conservationist, paleoanthropologist and philanthropist Richard Leakey, in collaboration with Naturalis Biodiversity Center in the Netherlands and Weta Digital, Ngaren will become a 'museum of the future' combining a physical museum in Kenya's Rift Valley with a digital platform for state-of-the-art science education and storytelling.
