Preserving biodiversity starts with understanding and describing. And Naturalis has been doing this for no less than 200 years. Our collection contains more than 42 million items. We are the leading biodiversity center in Europe and one of the top 5 in the world. Naturalis has a staff of over 800, including 120 researchers and 13 professors.
