My research stands on the crossway between xylem structure and function. I am interested in understanding how plants respond to drought stress via adaptations of their hydraulic architecture. Through hydraulic measurements, I assess plant stem resistance to gas bubble formation under drought stress, coupled with microscopy observations of different xylem anatomical characters using light and electron microscope.
