Nature Information Centre
If you have a question about a topic or something you have found relating to natural history, geology or palaeontology you can call on the Nature Information Centre (NIC). The NIC is located in the Library and is used as a study centre for biology, geology and palaeontology. Here you can find all the answers to your questions. Simply consult our well-stocked library of popular-science books or ask our experts.
Questions may also be sent to the NIC by post or e-mail. If you want a quick answer, you can consult the nature database on the web. Go to www.natuurinformatie.nl, where various organisations active in conservation and natural history can supply interesting snippets of information and extensive background information. The information presented on this website is in Dutch.
Many highlights of the Naturalis collection actually feature on this site. Another interesting Dutch website is www.museumkennis.nl , which provides links to information on anthropology, ethnology, antiquities and archaeology.
